ADVICE FOR THE PERFECT FIT...
IF YOUR WAIST IS 33 to 37 INCHES - you may choose
either SMALL or MED/LARGE (84-92 cm)
Choose SMALL if you prefer less foam
Most women prefer less foam around their waist ~ just enough to maintain
buoyancy. Less foam feels more comfortable, (our small belt feels close
to wearing nothing at all!), and allows greater range of motion for
abdominal crunches and other exercises. They choose SMALL even if the
foam only goes part way around their waist. However, if you tend to
sink easily and are athletic and very lean, choose MED/LARGE as
you'll need the extra flotation to keep you up.
Choose MED/LARGE if you prefer more foam
Some women prefer a greater sense of security afforded by the
MED/LARGE, which wraps alomost all the way around their waist.
If you are faily comfortable in the water, choose SMALL; if not,
choose MED/LARGE.
MOST MEN CHOOSE MED/LARGE
The MED/LARGE belt has more flotation than the SMALL.
Most men require MED/LARGE since men tend to "sink" more than women,
due to their body fat to lean muscle ratio. The exception is if your waist is
32 inches (81 cm) or smaller, and/or 5'5 or less and not too muscular.
IF YOUR WAIST IS ABOVE 50 INCHES - choose MED/LARGE (127 cm)
Then purchase an additional (50 inch) black elastic strap.
Simply hook the two straps together, then weave them through
the blue foam to extend the size of your belt!
The additional black strap is sold separately on our order page.
Is there a "weight limit" to the WaterGym Flotation Belt?
In the aquatic environment, how much flotation you require
depends on your body fat to lean mass ratio.
You may be a "sinker", a "floater" or neutrally buoyant.
It is not possible for us to know if our belt will float you.
GOOD NEWS ~ We get close to no returns with our belts!
Folks who thought our belt would not float them were happy to find that it did!
So try it. You can return the belt if you are not completely happy.
