WATERGYM POLICIES FOR BAY CLUB ROSS VALLEY The following policies have been requested from the management at Bay Club Ross Valley. We have promised that all WaterGym participants will abide by these policies otherwise WaterGym will cease at BCRV. Any WaterGym participant we see breaking policy will be asked to leave BCRV permanantly. These policies apply to both members and non-members. These policies are crucial for our continued success, and maintaining postive relationships among WaterGym® and our wonderful clubs. Weve had more than 20 great years in Marin and want to continue for many more, so please read and follow these few, simple policies with care. Thank you!
1) We are WaterGym® Ambassadors: While taking a WaterGym® class, everything we do and say before, during and after class reflects on our WaterGym® program. Please be kind and courteous to all clubs management, staff, members and to each other at all times, and please be especially grateful and curtious to our lifeguards. Were a large group. Our collective actions and attitude greatly influence the club atmosphere. Please help us create a positive impact.
2) Locker Rooms: Please be self-sufficient, like a great house guest! Please tidy up after yourself in the locker rooms and minimize your time in the shower. Non-members must bring their own towels as BCRV only provides towels for their membership.
3) Entering and Exiting the Club: Enter through the main entrance and sign in at the front desk.
4) Signing in for Class: Signing in for class always involves signing a legal waiver of responsibility. You will be signing in twice for each WaterGym class you attend; once at the front desk upon entering the club, and once while paying your WaterGym teacher in BEFORE entering the pool. If you enter the pool without signing in twice and paying, you will be asked to leave.
5) Parking: There is limited parking at BCRV. Please carpool with your pool pals if possible.
6) Pool Temperature: Please know that all facilities strive to keep comfortable pool temperatures. These temperatures can vary from 77-86. This is normal and often unavoidable. Please do not yell out or complain to lifeguards or staff. If the temperature is too warm or cool for you, notify your WaterGym teacher. If needed, please take good care of yourself and exit the pool.
7) Lap swimmers: At some clubs, lap swimming and WaterGym® share the pool. At others, lap swimmers vacate the pool for WaterGym®. Lap swimmers must be allowed to swim undisturbed until our class begins. Please refrain from entering or crossing their lanes, or from commenting about them in any way that is not respectful, kind or courteous.
8) Class Time: If youre a non-member taking class in a member-only facility, please exit the pool when class is finished unless a member has checked you in as a guest. Non-members are not allowed usage of pools outside of class time.
9) Sound Volume: Please be aware that some clubs are situated where sound carries like a loudspeaker. Please be sensitive to keeping sound levels low, especially in early morning hours.
10) Talk to your WaterGym® Teacher if issues arise: Please discuss issues, complaints and requests directly with your teacher, so they can address your concern in a discreet and constructive manner. Please refrain from yelling out or engaging in cross-pool or cross-locker room discussions about sensitive issues. Our voices carry more than we realize, and even innocent comments might sometimes be percieved as offensive by others.
Thank you SO MUCH for being part of WaterGym®! Please call if you have any questions or comments about this information. And thank you for helping us begin our days in a very wonderful, healthy and positive way. We appreciate YOU!
Susanne and the WaterGym® Teaching Team
